We're excited to be launching a brand-new operation in Bristol working with Waitrose, supporting a dynamic contract focused on store deliveries and trunking across a multi-temperature network. With a modern fleet, handling chilled, ambient, and fresh produce, this start-up offers a unique opportunity to build something from the ground up. ✅WHAT YOU'LL DO

* Lead and manage a multi-temperature transport operation, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of chilled, ambient, and fresh produce to Waitrose stores.
* Take full ownership of transport P&L, budgets, and cost control, driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
* Ensure full legal compliance across fleet and drivers, including driver hours, tachograph regulations, audits, and operator licence requirements as the named CPC holder.
* Deliver high service performance against SLA's and KPI's, ensuring on-time delivery across store deliveries and trunking operations.
* Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing transport team, building a strong culture of safety, engagement, and accountability.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with warehouse, planning, and wider DHL network teams to resolve operational challenges and optimise performance.

✅WHAT YOU'LL BRING

* Proven experience in a Transport Manager or similar leadership role within a fast-paced logistics or distribution environment.
* International CPC qualification (essential) with a strong understanding of transport legislation and compliance requirements.
* Experience managing multi-temperature or retail food distribution, with knowledge of food safety, temperature control, and product integrity highly valued.
* Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, cost control, and operational efficiencies.
* Demonstrable leadership capability, with experience managing drivers and teams, including performance, engagement, and development.
* A proactive, resilient mindset with the ability to deliver results under pressure, ensuring on-time delivery in a customer-focused environment.
