Finance Manager
We are working with an exciting client based in Didcot who are seeking a Finance Manager to join the growing business.
Location: Banbury - 5 days on site
Salary: Up to 65k
Role duties:
\t
* Contribute to the preparation and review of weekly forecasts for business units
\t
* Deliver monthly insights through KPI tracking, P&L analysis, and supporting commentary
\t
* Examine and assess expenditure trends across business units
\t
* Support the evaluation and submission of commercial tenders
\t
* Partner with stakeholders across the business, fostering trust through regular site visits
\t
* Oversee month-end activities including accruals, prepayments, WIP assessments, and performance reporting
\t
* Play a key role in budget planning and review processes
\t
* Monitor WIP and aged debt levels, challenging divisional performance where needed
\t
* Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures
\t
* Review and approve capital expenditure proposals
\t
* Manage financial oversight of major projects, ensuring alignment of costs and revenue
\t
* Drive timely and accurate invoicing processes
\t
* Supervise payroll submissions to ensure compliance and accuracy
\t
* Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support decision-making
\t
* Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency
Skills / Qualifications:
\t
* Accounting qualification or part qualified ACCA or ACA or CIMA with experience in a similar role
\t
* Strong background with core accounting such as Budget, Forecast, Month end, P&L reviews
\t
* Ability to build relationships with and support key stakeholders
\t
* Team management experience
\t
* UK Drivers license
\t
* Thrives in fast-paced, client-focused settings
\t
* Proficient with Microsoft Office software, advanced Excel user
\t
* Capable of building strong relationships outside the finance team and managing upwards
\t
* Performs well under pressure with excellent organizational skills
