An exciting opportunity has arisen for a People ProgrammeManager to support the delivery of DHU Healthcares Absence ImprovementProgramme across our services and sites.
This is a key role where you will work alongside operationalleaders and People colleagues to improve attendance management practice, buildleadership capability and support sustainable behavioural and cultural change. You will act as a catalyst for improvement, using data, coaching and practicalsupport to help managers address attendance challenges confidently,consistently and compassionately.
You will support theimplementation of programme initiatives, translating programme plans intopractical local activity. You will identify risks and barriers, support theembedding of new tools and processes, and help ensure programme outcomes aredelivered consistently and effectively.
You will work closely with operational leaders, PeoplePractices teams, Occupational Health, Wellbeing, Workforce Information andLearning and Development colleagues to improve colleague experience, strengthenmanagement capability and support sustainable improvements in attendanceperformance.

Main duties of the job
As a People Programme Manager, you will:

* Facilitate workshops, learning sessions andlocal engagement activity
* Support managers to undertake high qualityreturn-to-work discussions and wellbeing conversations
* Review local attendance practices and identifyopportunities for improvement
* Support the implementation of new tools,processes and ways of working
* Use workforce data to identify trends, hotspotsand targeted interventions
* Promote fair, compassionate and inclusiveattendance management practice
* Work collaboratively with operational leaders,People colleagues and specialist services
* Act as a trusted advisor and critical friend tomanagers
* Support the embedding of programme outputs intobusiness as usual practice

Job responsibilities
The PeopleProgramme Manager will lead the implementation of DHU's Absence ImprovementProgramme across designated services and sites.
Workingalongside operational leaders and People colleagues, the postholder will buildleadership capability, support the adoption of improved attendance managementpractices and facilitate sustainable behavioural and cultural change.

Thepostholder will work collaboratively across organisational boundaries tostrengthen management capability, improve colleague experience and support thesuccessful delivery of programme outcomes.
* Support the delivery of programme initiativesacross assigned services and locations.

* Analyse workforce information to identify trendsand hotspots.

Person Specification
Experience
* CIPD Level 7 qualification or equivalent experience.
* Significant experience within HR, workforce improvement, organisational development or operational leadership roles.
* Experience leading or supporting change initiatives.
* Experience coaching and influencing managers.
* Experience using workforce data to inform interventions.
* Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Ability to work effectively within complex operational environments.
* Ability to influence without direct authority.
* Ability to operate with credibility, resilience and sound judgement in complex and sensitive workforce environments.
* Experience of attendance improvement initiatives.
* Experience within NHS, healthcare or contact centre environments.
* Experience supporting operational teams working within 24/7 services.
* Knowledge of change management methodologies.
* Experience of quality improvement approaches.
