Job Title: Aeronautical Metal Fabricator
This role involves performing modifications and maintenance on aircraft in accordance with approved drawings and maintenance data. The primary responsibility of the position is to ensure the technical integrity of all work performed.
The ideal candidate will have completed an engineering apprenticeship, preferably in aeronautical engineering or a military equivalent. They should possess excellent knowledge of airframes and live experience working with sheet metal/structural components.
The successful applicant will be required to interpret technical manuals, drawings, and regulatory requirements. They must also be able to work to fine tolerances and high standards, using sealants, various fasteners, and bonding techniques as per technical standards.
In addition to these duties, the Sheet Metal Worker will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of tool control within the work area and ensuring a safe and clean working environment.
To be considered for this position, the candidate should demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. They must also be willing to undergo UK security vetting.
