JOB DETAILSThis role is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. As the position is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, applicants are required to disclose all spent and unspent convictions, cautions, reprimands, and final warnings that are not protected under the Exceptions Order 1975.
You will attend customer sites across the Isle of Man, responding to service calls, diagnosing faults, and carrying out repairs and preventative maintenance on a range of business print and office equipment. You will also install new devices, provide user guidance, and ensure every customer feels confident in the performance of their equipment.
This is a hands-on, field-based role where your technical expertise and customer service skills are equally important.
Key responsibilities
Respond to service requests for contracted and non-contracted customers
Diagnose faults and complete effective repairs through adjustment, cleaning, or replacement of parts
Carry out preventative maintenance in line with manufacturer guidance
Install new equipment and ensure full customer satisfaction
Provide basic user training to reduce operator errors and maximise performance
Escalate complex issues appropriately and work collaboratively to resolve unusual faults
Manage vehicle stock of spare parts and consumables
Plan your workload effectively to minimise travel time and maximise productivity
Keep customers informed of progress, especially where parts are required
Maintain up-to-date product knowledge through manufacturer and in-house training
Typical working hours are a 37.5-hour week Monday to Friday. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Experience within the office equipment or managed print industry
Strong electronic and mechanical fault-finding skills
Experience working on devices such as Konica Minolta, Lexmark or HP - experience with Konica Minolta Production, Epson, Zebra or Datacard would be advantageous
Good IT knowledge, including device networking and scan configuration
Proven customer-facing experience with a strong service mindset
Experience working in a performance-driven environment
A full UK driving licence
A professional and presentable approach at all times
