Role Overview:
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will support students who require additional guidance to help them engage positively in their education. You will be a vital role model, fostering trust and helping students develop the confidence and skills they need to thrive.
Job Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored one-to-one and group interventions focused on behaviour improvement and emotional well-being.
* Create and maintain strong, supportive relationships with students to encourage positive changes.
* Develop personalised strategies to help students overcome social and emotional barriers to learning.
* Collaborate with teaching and pastoral staff to create an inclusive and positive school culture.
* Support classroom engagement and contribute to a safe, structured learning environment.
* Monitor and record student progress, sharing feedback with staff and families where appropriate.
* Promote resilience, respect, and personal growth at every opportunity.
Job Requirements:
* Experience working as a Behaviour Mentor, Learning Support Assistant, Youth Worker, or in a similar role.
* Deep understanding of social, emotional, and behavioural needs in children and young people.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and support vulnerable students.
* Resilient, patient, and able to remain calm under pressure.
* A genuine passion for helping students overcome barriers and achieve their potential.
* Relevant qualifications in education, youth work, psychology, or related fields are desirable.
* Have anupdated CV(covering thelast ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) andan enhanced DBSregistered to theUpdate Service(or be willing to apply for one).
