Role Overview
As Group IT Manager, you will lead our Infrastructure and Service teams, managing a small but skilled IT services and infrastructure team within a growing group of companies. Your primary responsibility will be overseeing all aspects of our infrastructure and services, ensuring seamless operations, security, and technological efficiency.
Reporting to the COO, you will initially review existing setups and identify priorities, especially around security, within the first 90 days. The ideal candidate has managed a small to medium IT function or is ready to step into such a role.
This role also involves engagement with wider projects, including the implementation of a new ERP system.
Key Responsibilities
1. Oversee IT and Security operations across all business areas, including network and server infrastructure.
2. Manage and mentor the IT team, ensuring high service delivery and support levels.
3. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cyber security to protect the business.
4. Develop and implement IT and telecom solutions supporting group requirements.
5. Serve as the technical escalation point.
6. Support new technology deployments, focusing on cloud and automation technologies.
7. Manage the IT budget, ensuring value and cost-effectiveness.
8. Create and maintain technical documentation.
9. Lead end-to-end delivery of IT projects.
Essential Experience
* Strong knowledge of MS Intune & EMS
* Proficiency with Azure Cloud Services
* Experience in IT, Endpoint, and Network Security
* Understanding of Active Directory in an Azure Hybrid environment
* Knowledge of Windows Servers and Linux/Unix systems
* Networking expertise
* Experience with SQL Server, Power BI, and Power Apps
Desirable Skills
* Azure Sentinel/SIEM experience
* Cyber Essentials certification
* Project planning, forecasting, and risk management skills
* Familiarity with project methodologies

* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
* Leadership experience with small teams
* Commitment to delivering excellent customer service
* High ownership and responsibility levels
* Strong interpersonal skills and relationship-building abilities
