This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a small, consistent team delivering truly person-centred care to a gentleman with complex needs in his own home. About the Role: You will be supporting a 71-year-old gentleman living with Locked-In Syndrome following a brain stem stroke. He has complete paralysis and communicates using eye movements. Despite his condition, he enjoys getting out and about in the community and living life to the fullest. He lives in a comfortable two-bedroom bungalow alongside a live-in support worker provided by Active Care in the Home. Full training will be provided in all aspects of his clinical care, including: Suction PEG feeding Catheter care Nebulisers Available Shifts Morning Shifts (9:00am 10:30am) Working alongside the live-in carer to assist with: Personal care Hoisting Supporting the client to get ready for the day Afternoon Shifts (12:00pm 3:00pm) This shift allows the live-in carer to take a break, so you will be lone working. The client enjoys going out whatever the weather! Duties include: Driving the client in his own adapted vehicle Supporting trips into the community (shopping, parks, appointments, and daily tasks) Please note: A full UK driving licence is essential for afternoon shifts, and you must be comfortable driving an assisted/adapted vehicle.
