Stanwell School is looking to appoint a dynamic, flexible and enthusiastic individuals to join the team of examination invigilators at our outstanding school in Penarth. This is a fantastic opportunity for self-motivated, enthusiastic and organised colleagues to join our supportive and hardworking team. Previous experience of working in a school would be an advantage. We will be offering casual work during our examination periods and invigilators will need to be available during the months of May and June. There are usually two examination sessions per day with only time worked being claimed for, breaks between sessions are unpaid. The actual days and sessions to be worked will depend on the examination timetable. Successful candidates will be expected to attend a training session prior to the examination season for which they will be paid.
The successful candidates will
•support the Lead Invigilator/Examinations Officer with the day-to-day operation of examination venues including setting up examination rooms and invigilating and conducting examinations in accordance with agreed procedures thus ensuring that the integrity of the examination is maintained.
•assist the Examinations Officer with other examination processes when requested.
•Possess good communication and organisational skills with the ability to adhere to rules and regulations.
•Be a team player who can remain calm and is able to work under pressure or when dealing with unexpected circumstances.
•Will be reliable and punctual.
The position is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
