Deputy Home Manager - Children and Young People Location: Sudbury Salary: From £33,664 per annum plus additional sleep-in rate of £62.64 per night Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle are essential Hours: Full-time, including long day shifts and sleep-ins About the Role I am recruiting on behalf of a leading provider of residential care for children and young people who is seeking a passionate and dedicated Deputy Home Manager to join their well-established team in Sudbury. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Support Worker or current Deputy Manager who is looking for their next career move within a supportive and progressive environment. As Deputy Manager, you will play a key leadership role within a welcoming and knowledgeable team, working collaboratively across a small region of children's homes. Key Responsibilities ·Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home. ·Lead, motivate, and supervise the care team to ensure high-quality, person-centred care. ·Promote a therapeutic approach to care, supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes. ·Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding standards. ·Manage rotas, budgets, and administrative duties effectively. ·Contribute to staff training, development, and performance reviews. ·Step up to manage the home in the Registered Manager's absence. Requirements ·Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a Residential Children's Home at Senior or Deputy level. ·Hold NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Children and Young People (or equivalent). ·Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and child protection procedures. ·Experience in managing staff rotas and budgets. ·Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
