Job Summary:
The Stadium Assistant plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of various stadium facilities, including providing support in the following areas: commercial, stadium support including health and safety, kitchen and other duties as required. This role requires excellent customer service, organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, as part of a small but high functioning team. The successful candidate will contribute to providing an exceptional experience for players, visitors, staff, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial and Hospitality:
•\tSet up and break down of commercial events and match day hospitality
•\tMaintain cleanliness and hygiene in food and beverage areas
•\tEnsure stock levels are maintained and replenished as required
•\tWork collaboratively with catering and hospitality teams to provide excellent customer service
•\tBe responsible for changing barrels and cellar cleanliness
•\tAssist with the delivery of products and goods
•\tTo assist with opening and lock up procedures
•\tAssist with bar and catering operations during events
•\tServe food and beverages in line with health and safety regulations during events
Stadium Support:
•\tConduct routine health and safety checks around the stadium
•\tEnsure compliance with stadium safety regulations
•\tMaintain cleanliness in public areas, including seating, concourses, and toilets
•\tAssist in setting up and tidying event spaces and storerooms
•\tReport any maintenance or security concerns to management
Kitchen Assistant, based at Ralston training ground:
•\tAssisting in the kitchen
•\tPreparing food for the football team
•\tMaintaining a clean kitchen and dining area
•\tSupporting the other kitchen staff with any other tasks as required
•\tAssist with other health and safety duties at the training ground
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
•\tStrong communication and interpersonal skills
•\tCustomer service experience in a fast-paced environment
•\tAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and match days
•\tGood organisational skills and attention to detail
•\tAbility to work independently and as part of a small, high functioning team
•\tUnderstanding of health and safety regulations
•\tDriving licence and ability to travel between club sites, with access to own vehicle
Desirable Qualifications & Skills:
•\tExperience in a stadium, event venue, or hospitality environment
•\tEducated to HNC level
•\tKnowledge of food hygiene and bar licensing laws
•\tFirst aid or health and safety certification
•\tExperience handling stock and inventory
Working Conditions:
•\tPhysically demanding role requiring standing for long periods
•\tExposure to outdoor elements during stadium events
•\tFast-paced and sometimes high-pressure working environment
•\tInteraction with large crowds and various club stakeholders
