Field Service Engineer - Generators and Compressors
Location: Glasgow
Working hours: Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00, 40 hours per week plus overtime
On-call rota: 1-in-4
What youll do
* Service, maintain and repair generators (201400 kVA) and compressors at customer sites.
* Diagnose faults, replace parts and carry out effective mechanical repairs.
* Work on fleet fitted with telematics; equipment is fully sync-able using ComAp or Deep Sea Electronics (DSE) panels.
* Attend breakdowns, complete planned maintenance and ensure first-time fix where possible.
* Liaise professionally with customers and internal teams.
* Always follow company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
What youll bring
* Full UK driving licence.
* Strong knowledge of diesel engines and hands-on experience in fault finding and repairs.
* Experience servicing / repairing generators, compressors or similar plant / equipment.
* Good IT skills (including Microsoft Office).
* Clear written and verbal communication.
* Ability to work independently under pressure and as part of a team.
* Flexibility to cover overtime and participate in the on-call rota.
* Commitment to supporting our ESG strategy and Decade to Deliver.

Pay, overtime & on-call
* Overtime: paid at 1.5x, door-to-door
* On-call rota: 1-in-4
* Standby allowance; call-out payments: COST (Mon-Fri) and COST (Sat-Sun).
