We have a new opportunity for a motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic Respiratory, Surgery & Critical Care Therapy Team at Barnet Hospital – part of the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. The post is full time, 37.5 hours per week, with flexible working options that may be considered if raised at interview.
Responsibilities
* Provide occupational therapy intervention for patients with respiratory, cardiac, acute medical or surgical conditions.
* Work with patients in the intensive care unit and step‑down wards, including those with tracheostomy or laryngectomy.
* Supervise band 5 therapists, support workers and OT students, and take on team leadership responsibilities.
* Engage in service development, training, audit, and project work within the established therapy team.
* Attend a 7‑day service rota, working one weekend in four.
Qualifications
* Band 5 or 6 Occupational Therapist with experience in acute and complex needs, preferably in an acute care setting.
* Excellent communication skills, ability to work well in a team, and an interest in staff training and supervision.
* Positive and flexible approach to working.
