We’re looking for a Public Health Engineer to join our dynamic building services team, contributing to the design and delivery of complex systems that support safety, sustainability, and wellbeing in the built environment.
The Opportunity
We have an exciting position available for someone with a foundation in public health engineering who is looking to deepen their expertise in specialist systems and contribute to high‑impact projects from concept through to construction.

Responsibilities
* Design and coordinate a wide range of public health systems – domestic water services, above and below ground drainage, rainwater harvesting, and specialist systems such as fire suppression (sprinklers), medical and laboratory gases, and cavity drainage.
* Collaborate closely with architects, structural engineers, and other specialists to deliver integrated solutions across sectors such as commercial, residential, education, energy, sport, rail, health, and mixed‑use developments, maximising value for clients while minimising environmental impact.
* Develop technical documentation including drawings, specifications, and reports using industry‑standard tools.
* Drive digital transformation by exploring new ways to boost efficiency through automation and contribute to an integrated, forward‑thinking approach to digital design.
* Perform site visits and provide technical support during construction.
Qualifications
* Degree qualified in a relevant engineering field and currently working towards or willing to become a Chartered Engineer through CIBSE, IMechE, SoPHE, ICE or other relevant body.
* Experience in the design and coordination of public health systems, including hot & cold water services, above & below ground drainage, rainwater collection & disposal systems, water conservation & recycling, pollution control and waste management/treatment on a variety of projects.
* Capability to develop specialist systems such as fire suppression (sprinklers), medical and lab gases, and cavity drainage, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
* Strong collaboration skills working with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions from concept through to construction.
* Proficiency in producing technical documentation using industry‑standard tools, contributing to sustainable and low‑carbon design strategies and experience working within a BIM environment using Revit or similar software (knowledge of parametric design beneficial).
