Field Service Technician
Weybridge, UK (Fully Onsite)
6-Month Contract | Day Rate: £200 per day (Inside IR35)

Our client, a top global organization, is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to deliver high-impact onsite IT support within a fast-paced corporate environment. You will play a key part in minimising downtime, maintaining IT assets, and supporting modern workplace technologies. As an onsite technician, you will support business users by maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving a wide range of IT hardware, software, network components, and collaboration technologies. You'll gain hands-on exposure to enterprise-grade hardware ecosystems, mobile platforms, AV systems, and network infrastructure used in today's digital workplace.
Key Responsibilities
Provide onsite IT support, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues
Install and configure desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, AV systems, and network equipment
Troubleshoot system performance and network connectivity issues to reduce downtime
Perform updates, backups, and preventive maintenance
Manage hardware asset inventory (shipping, receiving, tracking equipment)
Document incidents and resolutions accurately within ticketing systems
Coordinate with remote IT teams to escalate complex issues
Lead onsite installation activities while adhering to safety and compliance standards
Travel to additional sites as required for project or emergency support
Essential Skills & Experience
Strong hands-on experience supporting desktops, laptops, mobile devices, tablets, printers, and AV equipment
Troubleshooting experience across Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and enterprise applications
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and connectivity troubleshooting
Experience with hardware repairs, updates, backups, and preventive maintenance
Knowledge of IT security principles and compliance requirements
Experience using IT ticketing systems
Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical installation tasks
Valid driving licence and willingness to travel between sites
Desirable
Experience supporting Apple iPads and Android tablets
AV and conference room technology support experience
Exposure to asset lifecycle management
Experience in enterprise or multi-site field service environments
Familiarity with modern workplace and cloud collaboration tools
