Rate of Pay: £17.12 - £21.83 per hour
Summary:
We are seeking a time-served, fully qualified Electrician to carry out high-quality electrical works in both tenanted and void properties within Flintshire County Councils housing stock. The successful candidate will have strong diagnostic and testing skills, with the ability to trace and repair faults quickly and effectively. Experience in social housing maintenance and repairs is essential, alongside the ability to work independently to deliver a safe, compliant, and efficient service.
Responsibilities:
* Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, and repair work to a high standard in tenanted and void council properties.
* Undertake inspection, testing, and certification of electrical systems in compliance with current regulations.
* Diagnose and rectify electrical faults across domestic properties.
* Complete repairs and maintenance to various central heating electrical systems and controls.
* Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety legislation, industry standards, and council policies.
Requirements:
* Time-served, fully qualified electrician with NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
* Strong diagnostic, testing, and fault-finding skills.
* Experience of working in social housing, including both tenanted and void properties.
* Knowledge of and ability to repair electrical aspects of central heating systems.
* Good understanding of health and safety requirements in domestic settings.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
