We have an exciting opportunity to join Children’s Services Learning Academy as a Recruitment Support Officer.
This is a busy and varied role that provides an effective and efficient recruitment administration service to Children’s Services to support the recruitment and retention of the right candidates to enable Children’s Services workforce to deliver its services and meet its goals, objectives and aspirations.
The postholder will be responsible for providing new employee and leaver administration for both permanent and agency staff in Children’s Services including new starter paperwork, pre-employment checks, onboarding and offboarding.
The ideal candidate will have an effective customer-focussed approach and deliver a high standard of customer service both with internal and external customers.
The post holder will be responsible for the maintenance of effective and efficient recruitment and retention practices for the Children’s Services workforce and ensure that pre-employment compliance requirements are completed in line with policy, legislation and safer recruitment practices.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to organise and attend recruitment fayres and Children’s Services celebration events to engage with partners and the wider community.
We are looking for someone with previous experience working in a busy recruitment environment with a proven track record in delivering strong administrative support.
In this busy and varied role, it is essential that you have excellent prioritisation and organisation skills, effective interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to cope with a wide range of tasks within a short time scale and meet tight deadlines.

Skills
Essential:
* Effective interpersonal and communication skills including telephone manner with a customer focussed approach to work.
* Ability to cope with a wide range of tasks within a short time scale and work to deadlines.
* High degree of accuracy and attention to detail within written, oral and numeric work.
* Effective organisational skills.
* Proven effective IT skills including the use of Microsoft office software, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams and Outlook.
This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
Knowledge
Essential:
* Knowledge of Safer Recruitment Practices.
* Basic understanding of recruitment and retention policies and procedures.
* Understanding of issues surrounding confidentiality.
Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
* O Level/GCSE in English and Mathematics at Grade C and above or equivalent.
* Level 3 qualification in Recruitment, or willing to complete within 2 years of starting employment.
* Experience of working within a recruitment environment.
* Experience of working within a customer focussed environment.
* Experience of working within a team and on own.
