We are looking to recruit for a part-time post (17 hours over 2 days).
Role Overview
The Administration Officer will play an integral role in developing an effective Palliative Care service by providing direct support to the nursing team on the Palliative Care Unit with comprehensive administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintain the Patient Administration System and ward records, including patient outcomes.
2. Support the MDT Coordinator and Outpatient Coordinator on a rotational basis.
3. Manage patients, relatives, and carers courteously and respectfully, especially during stressful situations, and report any safety concerns to the Sister/Nurse in Charge.
4. Respond professionally to enquiries from staff, patients, relatives, and carers, providing information and prioritising queries.
5. Ensure data accuracy, timeliness, and confidentiality in line with policies, and assist with patient flow under the guidance of the nurse in charge.
6. Uphold confidentiality and information security at all times, reporting any non-compliance.
7. Demonstrate the Trust’s values and behaviours consistently in daily practice and interactions.
