Job Title: Paediatric Occupational Therapist
Location: West Midlands, Birmingham
Department: Paediatric Services
Rate: Up to £36 per hour
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Birmingham City Council for a Paediatric Occupational Therapist to deliver high-quality occupational therapy services to children, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life.
Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed assessments of children with diverse needs
Create and implement personalized treatment plans
Provide therapeutic interventions to support developmental progress and independence
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, educators, and families
Manage a varied caseload and prioritize effectively
Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings and case reviews
Maintain thorough and timely records in line with professional standards
Qualifications and Experience:
Degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy
Registration with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC)
Experience in paediatric occupational therapy
Strong assessment and treatment planning skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
Valid driving license and access to a vehicle
Willingness to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
