Overview Humly North West is looking for a patient Learning Support Assistant for a 1:1 role in a Year 1/2 class. You will be based at a friendly Carlisle primary school, supporting a pupil with additional needs. Starting in May, you’ll join the team for the rest of the Summer term. We need someone who can build a great bond with the pupil and help them feel confident and engaged in class. This is a full-time, long-term role. It’s perfect for someone who enjoys 1:1 work and wants to provide the consistency this pupil needs to succeed. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality learning experiences aligned with the school's curriculum and expectations. Build positive relationships with students to support their academic and personal development within the Primary setting. Maintain effective classroom management and a productive learning atmosphere. Follow all safeguarding and reporting protocols required by the school. Candidate Profile Relevant qualifications for a SEND Specialist (e.g., QTS or equivalent). Strong communication and interpersonal skills suited to the Primary sector. Reliability, adaptability, and a genuine passion for education.
