The Team
The team advises HNW individuals, landed estates, and business-owning families on the full spectrum of private wealth matters, including complex wills, inheritance tax and estate planning, trusts, probate and estate administration, lasting powers of attorney, and succession planning.
The Role
Based in Leeds, you will manage your own varied caseload, advising clients on bespoke wills incorporating trust structures, estate planning and inheritance tax mitigation, the creation and administration of trusts, and high-value estate administration including business and foreign property interests.
You will work collaboratively with colleagues across departments, particularly corporate, family, and real estate, and liaise with professionals in other jurisdictions on cross-border asset matters. Business development is actively encouraged, and you will have opportunities to attend networking events, contribute to social media, and build your own introducer relationships.
The Ideal Candidate
* Qualified solicitor or chartered legal executive with 2-6 years' PQE in private client work
* Strong knowledge of wills, trusts, estate administration, and inheritance tax planning
* Experience advising HNW individuals and business owners on complex, high-value matters
* A STEP qualification, or progress towards one, is a distinct advantage
* Commercially minded, with excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical matters clearly and empathetically
* A collaborative team player, equally comfortable working independently on your own files and contributing to larger, complex matters
* Organised, resilient, and motivated, with a genuine interest in business development and building long-term client relationships
