We achieve this by embracing change, focusing on our customers, collaborating, listening, and innovating to find newer and better ways of doing things.

About The Role

This is an exciting time to join the Insight Application team within the wider Product Insight & Ideation team in Propositions at Cambridge English. The Insight Application team works cross-functionally to deliver on our mission to help shape the future of English by translating research insights into strategy, product development (assessment and learning), iteration of existing products, teacher training and services, educational guidance and frameworks.

The role is ideal for someone passionate about ensuring that teachers and learners worldwide have access to high-quality, evidence-based English as a Second Language education. You will keep abreast of the latest research and evidence in ELT (and global education more broadly) and apply these insights to innovate new education products and strategy.

At the core of our approach to ELT product development is applying research-based insights into language learning to the design of materials and course methodology. Projects are varied and fast-moving, ranging from inclusive pedagogies, teacher development, emerging technologies and socio-emotional learning. The Insight Application team includes education specialists from teachers, linguistic/pedagogical researchers, educational psychologists, publishers and learning content creators. We are looking for a new Insight Application Manager who shares these specialisms to join our team. The role requires cross-functional work within a Cambridge and global team, responsive to their needs and the needs of the business.

What you'll be doing

* Proactively seek the latest educational insights and trends globally related to English as a Second Language, emerging technologies, socio-emotional skills curricula, teaching and learning, and teacher professional development.
* Translate educational and/or market insights into tangible propositions for English (e.g., design of new products, refinement of existing products, or teacher support).
* Collaborate cross-functionally with colleagues focused on research and development within English to maximise impact and strategic alignment.
* Commission external experts, write project briefs, set timelines, and quality‑assure deliverables.
* Recommend frameworks and best practices for content development and process improvement.
* Advise on ethical and pedagogical considerations in emerging technologies (e.g., AI in education).
* Identify opportunities for innovation and recommend changes to enhance the customer experience (teachers, learners, parents, and senior leadership within schools).

This position is hybrid, with an expectation to spend 40–60% of time collaborating face‑to‑face at the dedicated location. Flexible working requests will be considered from day one, including adjustments for disability or long-term health conditions.

About You

You will be educated to degree level or industry standard equivalent with a strong understanding of teaching and learning English either as a teacher and/or learner of English as a Second Language. You must have at least 3 years' experience of either educational research (ideally focusing on English Language teaching and learning) or teaching. You should have an understanding of the ELT sector, especially publishing and assessment.

You should have a good understanding of what makes high-quality research insights, including a range of research tools, methodologies and current developments in education. You should also have expertise in at least two of the following areas: curriculum design, linguistics, ELT and pedagogy, educational psychology, or socio-emotional learning.

If you meet the minimum requirements, we encourage you to apply. The following are desirable criteria:
