Kenect Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Vehicle Technician for our longstanding client based in Thurleigh. We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician who is able to work within an established team, working to a high standard.
Pay rate: from £17 per hour
Shifts: Monday to Friday
07:00 to 17:00
Main responsibilities
* Carry out general servicing of vehicles.
* Undertake general tyre changing duties for a variety of vehicles.
* Undertake road and ramp testing and inspection as and when required.
* Carry out all repairs in line with approved methods to restore the vehicle to its original condition.
* Plan and organise time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed within set deadlines, achieving efficiency.
* Assist with general workshop tasks as and when required.
* Diagnose problems on vehicles in the workshop and if needed undertake electrical diagnosis on vehicles.
* Deal with warranty repairs in line with manufacturer standards.
* Ensure all the relevant documentation is accurately completed and all company procedures are followed.
Skills and experience required
* Previous experience in a similar role as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic.
* Qualified to City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) (essential).
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Willing to support junior techs and offer support/expertise when needed.
* Passionate about working within the motor industry and take pride in work, to the highest standards of work set by customers.
* Able to work independently on vehicles and have experience to make decisions when required.
* Excellent attention to detail.
