As a Warehouse Team Lead, you will be the first point of contact for the team, driving the successful execution of daily tasks set by the Warehouse Shift Manager. You will be dedicated to guiding, developing, and motivating your team while maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant working environment. Your ultimate mission is to ensure total accuracy and achieve on‑time, in‑full (OTIF) replenishment across the warehouse.
We are offering between £32,000 - £33,000 depending on experience. Working Monday to Friday onsite 06:00 - 14:30.
Key Responsibilities
* Daily Supervision: Supervise the warehouse team on a daily basis to ensure operations deliver a top‑tier customer experience.
* Performance Tracking: Ensure the team meets performance targets in line with direction from the Warehouse Shift Manager.
* Briefings: Lead daily team briefings covering Health & Safety, people updates, equipment status, and quality control.
* Training & Onboarding: Support the onboarding of new hires and deliver, record, and coach team members on SOPs, Work Instructions (WIs), and Safe Systems of Work (SSOWs).
* Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Participate in daily leadership meetings and provide meaningful feedback during employee performance reviews.
Operations, Compliance & Safety
* Stock Accuracy: Partner closely with the Stock Controller to maintain 100% accuracy between physical stock and the stock control system.
* System Management: Manage and resolve systemic issues directly within the stock management system.
* GMP Standards: Uphold strict GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards across all warehouse operations.
* Health & Safety: Maintain consistent compliance with the company’s Health & Safety policy at all times.
* Reporting & Documentation: Ensure all departmental cleaning and maintenance records are accurate and compliant; report incidents or damages via the NMR and deviation processes.
Requirements
Experience & Technical Skills
Supervisory Experience: Proven track record of supervising teams in a fast‑paced warehouse or operational environment.
* Systems & Data: Strong written and numerical skills, with direct experience using stock control systems.
* Housekeeping & Safety: Robust knowledge of warehouse housekeeping and 5S methodologies; training or experience in IOSH (or general warehouse safety management) is highly beneficial.
* Licences: A Flexi or Counterbalance forklift licence is preferred.
