We are creating innovative pathways to develop pharmacy leaders and are now looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic pharmacists to join our expanding team. We have secured recent investment into pharmacy and are expanding our technical services team. This post would suit pharmacists at a stage in their career where they are ready for the next step and seek a blend of technical and clinical services.
Responsibilities
* Join the Pharmacy & Medicines Directorate as a Deputy Accountable Pharmacist (AP) in the technical services team.
* Work as part of the Aseptic team providing services within the Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy.
* Collaborate with the cancer services team, providing clinical services to in-patient and outpatient haematology and oncology patients.
* Manage an approximate role split of 60/40 between Aseptic Services and Cancer Services.
* Maintain a patient-centred approach while developing both technical and clinical skills and undertaking specialist projects under the direction of the AP.
* Receive support from a designated mentor, the wider pharmacy team, and peer support from other specialist and senior pharmacists.
* Progress with PTQA (Pharmaceutical & Technology Quality Assurance) Diploma/MSc with support from the organisation.

* The NHS Fife Pharmacy Service is undergoing an ambitious programme of transformation and integration, serving a population of approximately 380,000 people with an integrated team of around 300 Pharmacy staff across multiple sites and services.

Location and travel
Fife is well connected with excellent public transport links from around the UK. The region is in proximity to Edinburgh, Dundee, Perth and Glasgow.
Part-time / full-time
Candidates seeking part-time hours or full-time hours within Aseptic Services are encouraged to apply. Salary is pro rata for part-time hours with no reduction in hourly rate when adjusted for part-time work.

Notes
As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part-time hours will be reduced pro-rata with a corresponding increase in hourly rate so that pay is not affected.
