Working as an SEN Teaching Assistant in the mental health sector, you will: * Support children with complex social, emotional, and mental health needs. * Work closely with therapists, psychologists, and SEN professionals. * Develop key skills in behaviour management, communication, and emotional regulation strategies. * Gain valuable experience working with students with autism, ADHD, trauma, and anxiety-related disorders. What Does a Mental Health Psychologist Do? Mental Health Psychologists help individuals manage and overcome emotional, cognitive, and behavioural challenges. They work with people of all ages, using therapeutic techniques to improve mental well-being. By working as a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will gain direct experience in understanding how mental health affects learning and behaviour, making this an ideal stepping stone towards a psychology-based career. Role Details: * Position: SEN Teaching Assistant – Specialist SEMH School * Location: Hillingdon * Pay: £101.40 * Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 4:00 pm * Start Date: Immediate Who Are We Looking For? * Psychology graduates (or related fields) aspiring to become Mental Health Psychologists. * Individuals with a genuine passion for supporting children with mental health needs and autism. * Strong communicators with a patient and compassionate approach. * Experience in education, care, or mental health is beneficial but not essential.
