As the Associate Graphic Designer or Graphic Designer, you will assume a crucial role in shaping our brand identity and enriching our visual communication through compelling design. Situated within the Creative Services Team and reporting to the supervising Art Director, this role involves aiding the development of visually captivating designs for diverse mediums encompassing print (brochures, posters, packaging, etc.), digital (mocks, static online ads), and events (signage, environmental mocks, interior spaces). These designs will adhere to brand guidelines and effectively convey our intended message. The scope of design work will encompass generating new ideas and concepts, modifying existing approved visuals and templates, or resizing existing assets. This role's responsibilities extend across all facets of Sierra Nevada Brewing Co, supporting various departments including Marketing, Sales, Brewing, Procurement, and Customer Experience.What's In It For YouWe’re committed to our employees and work hard to prove it. For starters, we’re offering $54,035.03 to $91,833 base compensation for this role. Individual offers are based on skills, experience, and qualifications. 1. Marketing Collateral: Produce engaging marketing materials including banners, posters, brochures, and digital assets for online and offline marketing campaigns. Support the marketing team in developing visual content for advertisements, and promotional events.
2. Brand Design: Develop and maintain visual brand identity, ensuring consistency across all marketing materials, packaging, and merchandise. Create captivating and innovative designs that resonate with our target audience while staying true to our brand ethos
3. Illustration & Artwork: Create original illustrations and artwork that elevate our brand storytelling and resonate with our diverse consumer base.
4. Packaging Design: Design and conceptualize packaging artwork for our range of products, balancing creativity with practical considerations for production and shelf appeal. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure packaging designs align with marketing strategies and product positioning.
5. Project Management: Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, managing timelines, and resources effectivity. Coordinate with different departments or external vendors to ensure project goals are met within specified deadlines and budgets.
6. Conceptualization and Ideation: Collaborate with stakeholders, such as marketing teams, clients, and designers, to brainstorm and develop innovative, strategic and engaging concepts that effectively communicate the desired message or idea. Develop presentation decks that explain the design thinking for review and approval of stakeholders.
7. Art Development: Use the artistic vision and tone from briefs and style guides to develop visual artwork, ensuring they align with the overall brand identity and objectives. Projects include, but are not limited to, packaging, marketing collateral, illustration, artwork, photography, motion design, and any additional branding assets.
8. Quality Control and Approval Coordination: Ensure the final output meets quality standards, accurately reflects the creative vision, and is ready for deployment or publication. Provide the final approval for creative assets before release and production with input from stakeholders.

9. Bachelor's Degree Bachelor of Arts/Science degree in Graphic Design, Fine & Applied Arts, Communication Arts or any combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved required
10. Associate Graphic Designer: 1 year of design experience required
11. Graphic Designer: 4 years design experience required and
12. Experience in a high volume, fast paced, in-house CPG company preferred
13. Experience working with food or beverage products preferred and
14. Creativity: A primary attribute is creativity. Successful graphic designers have a knack for generating original ideas, innovative concepts, and visually appealing designs that capture attention and effectively communicate messages.
15. Design Software Proficiency: Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) is essential. Mastering these tools allows designers to bring their creative visions to life effectively.
16. Strong Visual Sense: A keen eye for aesthetics, color theory, typography, and layout is critical. Understanding how visual elements work together to create a harmonious design is fundamental for impactful graphic design.
17. Problem-solving Skills: Graphic designers often face challenges in translating client needs into visual solutions. The ability to analyze problems and devise creative design solutions within constraints is crucial.
18. Attention to Detail: Being meticulous and paying attention to small details ensures designs are flawless and meet the required standards.
19. Adaptability and Openness to Feedback: Designers should be open to feedback and willing to adapt their designs based on client or team input. Flexibility and the ability to iterate designs are key for successful outcomes.
20. Time Management and Organization: Meeting deadlines is crucial in the design industry. Successful designers manage their time effectively, prioritize tasks, and organize workflows to deliver projects on time.
21. Communication Skills: Good communication skills are essential for understanding client requirements, articulating design ideas, and collaborating effectively with team members or clients.
