An excellent General Manager is required for the remarkable scheme of Lancer Square, a mixed-use luxury development located in Kensington.
The Scheme:
Lancer Square comprises residential, retail, and office spaces spread across three buildings with a central courtyard linked by two levels of basement space.
There are 4 retail units on the ground floor, 36 private residential apartments, and an entire block dedicated to office accommodation. An estate loading bay is used by all occupiers. Basement 2 houses a private car park for residents, cycle stores, a residential spa, swimming pool, gym, staff welfare, and plant rooms.
The Role:
The General Manager (GM) is the most senior staff member, managing all on-site staff. The individual will work closely with the client, be customer-facing, and play a central role in the experience of residents, staff, and visitors. The role emphasizes relationship management, handling unexpected situations, and delegating specialized tasks to team members.
This highly empowered position requires high energy, motivation skills, and the ability to mentor high-performance teams dedicated to resident satisfaction and exceptional service.
The GM will ensure effective operation of all service elements across the scheme, overseeing all aspects of operations, including resident and employee satisfaction. Building resident loyalty through proactive communication, managing expectations, and delivering results is key. The GM is also the brand ambassador for the development.
Key responsibilities:
* Establish excellent relationships with residents, contractors, and team members, understanding the needs of high-profile, high-net-worth individuals.
* Deliver the highest service standards, setting the benchmark for luxury residential and premium commercial spaces.
* Lead and inspire the team with clear vision, leadership, and strategy to exceed resident expectations.
* Oversee service delivery ensuring seamless integration and consistent quality.
* Develop and maintain positive business and community relationships to enhance the property's positioning and public image.
* Provide 'above and beyond' service to ensure resident satisfaction and retention.
* Manage and report on health and safety issues onsite.
* Report regularly to head office, discussing site activity, HR issues, resident concerns, maintenance, and budgeting.
* Motivate and develop an energetic team through coaching, reviews, and behavioral goals.
* Interact courteously and professionally with guests, staff, and community members, fostering the Rhodium culture throughout the experience.
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years of General Management experience in super-prime mixed-use or residential developments.
* Experience managing service charges or budgets of £1m or more.
* Fluent in English; additional languages are advantageous.
* Strong health and safety knowledge; IOSH/NEBOSH certification preferred.
* Eligible to work in the UK.
* Extensive network within London's luxury services and hospitality sectors.
