Overview
Vehicle Technician – Motor Trade (Wakefield) – Volvo Dealership in Wakefield. You will be responsible for carrying out advanced diagnostics, repairs, and routine servicing across a range of vehicles.
Essentials (You Must Have)
* Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician in a similar workshop environment.
* Strong fault-finding abilities and experience carrying out complex repairs.
* A customer-focused approach and a commitment to delivering outstanding service.
* Full valid driving licence
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out advanced vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and servicing in line with manufacturer and factory standards.
* Complete thorough vehicle inspections, accurately identifying faults and recommending additional work.
* Clearly communicate technical issues and repair requirements to customers in a professional and approachable manner.
* Ensure all work complies with company policies, manufacturer specifications, and industry regulations.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workshop environment in accordance with health and safety standards.
* Oversee servicing, repairs, and parts replacement, ensuring work is completed to a high standard and customer satisfaction is achieved.
About You
* A Level 3 IMI qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance or an equivalent qualification.
* Strong attention to detail and effective communication will be essential, particularly when liaising with Service Advisors and customers to explain work required
* Leadership skills, with the ability to support and develop a team of technicians.
