Role purpose
As an Agile Senior Programme Manager you will drive complex programmes to success, ensuring teams deliver effectively and efficiently. You will shape how projects are run, mentor and develop other PMs, and improve delivery practices and outcomes across the organisation.
Responsibilities
* Leading and energising programme teams to deliver high-impact projects successfully
* Driving Agile and SAFe ways of working to improve efficiency and project outcomes
* Building strong stakeholder relationships and resolving issues proactively
* Mentoring and developing junior PMs, growing skills and team capability
* Overseeing planning, risk management, and reporting to keep programmes on track
* Championing continuous improvement to deliver smarter, more effective results
Essential experience
* Leading complex programmes successfully using Agile and SAFe frameworks; experience with waterfall frameworks is beneficial
* Defence experience is highly desirable, but not essential
* Building and managing strong stakeholder relationships to drive results
* Delivering projects on time, to scope, and within budget under challenging conditions
Essential qualifications
* Relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification
* PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent project management certification
* SAFe Practitioner or equivalent Agile qualification
