In this role, you will learn and manage all aspects of the payroll process to ensure an accurate, compliant and efficient service. Acting as the central point of contact for all employee payroll queries, you’ll be responsible for processing payrolls accurately and on time, producing and delivering all required outputs – including third‑party payments, P60s and P11Ds – to the appropriate recipients.
You will carry out quality reviews and compliance checks, maintain up‑to‑date payroll process documentation, and prepare reports detailing earnings, taxes, deductions and headcount information for Finance. The role also involves balancing payroll accounts by resolving discrepancies, providing ad‑hoc reporting and supporting continuous improvement by recommending enhancements to systems and processes.
You’ll ensure timely and accurate payment of payroll‑related invoices, manage statutory documentation and payments (such as P11Ds, P45s, P60s, SMP and SSP), and set up salary sacrifice schemes in line with legislation and company policy.
Additionally, you’ll liaise with our external payroll provider to resolve queries, and produce and submit BACS files, RTI submissions and auto‑enrolment information as required.
