Description:
We are currently recruiting for a Tribunal Officer to support SEND Tribunal casework on the Isle of Wight.
This position offers an excellent daily rate of £380–£400/day (Inside IR35) and requires some on-site presence, with the flexibility to work remotely for part of the week.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing appeals and mediations within the SEND Tribunal process, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and working collaboratively with families, professionals, and legal representatives to achieve fair outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and coordinate SEND Tribunal cases and related documentation.
* Ensure compliance with Children and Families Act 2014 and SEND Code of Practice.
* Liaise with parents, schools, and legal representatives throughout the Tribunal process.
* Draft case summaries, responses, and legal statements for submission.
* Support local authority colleagues with appeal preparation and hearings.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Tribunal Officer or SEND Case Officer within a Local Authority.
* Strong knowledge of EHCPs, SEND legislation, and Tribunal procedures.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple cases within statutory timeframes.
