Salary: £85,000 - 85,000 per year Requirements: We are looking for a Principal Front End Developer with deep experience in React and TypeScript, particularly in mature and complex product environments. You should have a proven track record of influencing architecture, standards, and long-term direction. We need someone who has experience mentoring both junior and senior engineers, alongside exposure to automated testing tools such as Playwright. Familiarity with cloud-based environments like AWS and working within CI/CD pipelines to deliver production-ready software is essential. Key responsibilities include leading the architectural and front end direction across several products, engaging in hands-on development using React, TypeScript, and various modern front end tools. You will be tasked with improving a large and evolving front end estate that has inconsistent legacy patterns, breaking down major refactors and tech debt into manageable pieces, and serving as the go-to person for complex front end problem-solving. Additionally, you will mentor engineers at different levels and support high standards in testing, automation, and release processes, all while helping bring consistency and clarity to our wider front end approach.
