As the Deputy General Manager at the Haymarket Hotel, you will play a
pivotal role in overseeing the entire operation of the hotel. Your
responsibilities will span across various departments including Events, Food
and Beverage, Front Office, Housekeeping, and the Kitchen. You will work
closely with the General Manager to ensure seamless service delivery and
exceptional guest satisfaction. This role requires a hands-on approach,
flexibility, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.



Responsibilities:





* Oversee daily hotel operations to ensure smooth and efficient
functioning.
* Manage profit and loss, revenue management, and cost control to achieve
financial targets.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with guests, ensuring their
needs are met and exceeded.
* Maintain staff welfare and foster a positive team environment.
* Ensure compliance with statutory and legal requirements including fire,
hygiene, health and safety, licensing, and employment law.
* Assist with recruitment, training, and employee relations to ensure the
team is motivated and performing at their best.
* Support the General Manager in key meetings and decision-making
processes, stepping in during their absence when needed.





What you Need:





* Previous experience as a Hotel Manager or Deputy General Manager in a
high-end operation.
* A proactive and hands-on approach to daily operations.
* Ability to work well under pressure and in a busy environment.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Genuine passion for the hospitality industry and a desire to drive the
hotel's success forward.
* Strong leadership and motivational skills.
* In-depth understanding of current hospitality trends and competitive
landscape.
