HW Interim Solutions are working with a client to appoint a Cyber Security Incident Response & Threat Intelligence Lead.
This role will lead the organisation’s capability across cyber incident response, threat intelligence and vulnerability management, ensuring cyber threats are identified, contained and remediated across both IT and operational technology environments.
The successful candidate will take ownership of the cyber incident response capability, leading the response to major cyber events and coordinating technical, operational and executive stakeholders during crisis situations.
The role will also be responsible for developing and delivering an intelligence-led security function, translating emerging threats and vulnerability data into prioritised remediation actions that reduce real-world risk to essential services.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading response to major cyber incidents including ransomware and supply-chain compromise
* Managing cross-functional crisis response across technical, operational and leadership teams
* Developing and exercising the cyber incident response plan and improving forensic and investigation capability
* Delivering cyber threat intelligence reporting and translating threat activity into actionable security improvements
* Leading the vulnerability management programme and implementing risk-based remediation prioritisation
* Supporting regulatory reporting and engagement with relevant national cyber authorities
Requirements
* Experience operating within Critical National Infrastructure or regulated environments
* Strong understanding of ransomware, threat actor activity and modern cyber attack techniques
* Ability to coordinate senior stakeholders and communicate clearly during major cyber incidents
This is an interim assignment, offered on a day rate basis.
