Overview
We are looking for an experienced Oral Health Practitioner to play a key role in delivering community outreach programmes in the London borough of Redbridge, including fluoride application and tooth brushing schemes across a wide variety of community settings, ensuring quality and safety. You will act as an ambassador for the Service, promoting the highest standards of excellence in working practices.
Responsibilities
* Lead on delivering outreach programmes to the highest standard and play an active role in stakeholder engagement to promote uptake of the schemes.
* Direct and supervise an Extended Duties Dental Nurse and/or chaperone and support a cohesive team approach, developing and strengthening partnership working both internally and externally.
* Oversee and provide a bespoke programme of evidence‑based oral health improvement interventions and training informed by national and local strategies across Redbridge to targeted groups, in coordination with Dental Therapist(s) and Extended Duties Dental Nurse(s).
* Work in a very busy environment while remaining calm; deliver outreach programmes effectively through challenging situations. Ability to work independently, proactively and under pressure is important.
* Travel around London to reach the communities we serve.
