This is a permanent, full-time position with a shift pattern from Monday to Friday.
The role is part of the business support team, providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Specialist Children’s Services multidisciplinary team, including Paediatricians, Nurses, OT, Physio, and SLT. The post-holder will contribute to the team's success through efficient secretarial and administrative duties, working independently and demonstrating a clear understanding of the service.
The post involves supervising the day-to-day administration of the team, ensuring smooth operations and efficiency. The post-holder will supervise Band 2 and 3 staff within the service and may have delegated responsibilities for facility/site management, ensuring compliance with health & safety legislation and policies to maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This role requires predominantly in-office work.
Applicants must demonstrate competency in various computer packages, evidenced by experience or formal qualifications such as ECDL, or hold a recognized qualification in Administration equivalent to HNC in Secretarial Studies or Business Administration, or SVQ Level 3 in Administration, or possess significant relevant practical experience.
Good knowledge of office procedures and systems is essential, along with prior experience in a secretarial or administrative role.
