We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, highly motivated, and resilient SENCO with a proven track record for raising standards. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive school with high expectations and a commitment to providing the very best for all our children. This is an exciting time to join our school as we develop as a team. You will be an integral part of the senior leadership team at St Bernadette's School.
Responsibilities and Expectations
* Is passionate about supporting and educating staff in line with best practice
* Is committed to working with families and agencies to ensure best outcomes for the children in our care.
* Is able to think creatively to help the school to diminish the difference for our most vulnerable pupils.
* Is a fully qualified teacher with experience of acting as SENCO or who holds the National Award for SENCO
* Has experience of working with pupils with a range of special educational needs
* Has an excellent understanding of the SEND Code of Practice
* Is calm and focused with a resolution-focused approach
* Is able to motivate, support and inspire learners, members of staff and our wider community
* Is keen to make a significant contribution to the realisation of a shared Federation vision
* Develop and implement excellent standards of teaching and learning.
* Show commitment to continuous school improvement.
* Contribute to a culture where everyone is valued and encouraged to succeed.
