Overview:
We’re seeking an experienced bookkeeper to support our bookkeeping department. This role is ideal for someone confident in managing a range of client bookkeeping tasks and VAT return preparation, with occasional involvement in management accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Preparing VAT returns for multiple clients
2. Daily and monthly bookkeeping using software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage
3. Reconciling bank statements and accounts
4. Assisting with management accounts preparation when needed
5. Liaising directly with clients regarding records and queries
Requirements:
6. Proven experience in a bookkeeping role within a practice or business environment
7. Solid understanding of VAT and bookkeeping principles
8. Proficient in cloud accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
9. Strong organisational and communication skills
10. Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
