Job Description
Position Summary: Reviews analytical data generated by laboratory experiments for quality, contract compliance, and proper documentation. Acts as a team resource for guidance during data reduction. Responsible for identifying data issues and working with the department manager to resolve them.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Reviews data recorded/produced by instrumentation for:
* Valid information
* Discrepancies or inconsistencies
* Contract and client expectation compliance
* QAPP and quality control standards compliance
1. Resolves inconsistencies by checking documentation, run logs, and instrument calibration; troubleshoots problems and recommends solutions.
2. Designs procedures and programs to minimize deficiencies and ensure contract compliance.
3. Provides technical guidance and employee training.
4. Assembles and reviews data packages for validity and completeness.
5. Assists in creating and reviewing MDL/DOC charts, implements best practices, and performs related tasks.
6. Initiates rework when necessary and completes SOP revisions.
7. Supports QA studies, evaluates statistical windows, and aids in investigations and corrective actions.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field, or over 10 years of relevant experience.
* At least 4 years of bench-level analytical experience plus formal QA training, or 3 years QA experience.
* Knowledge of EPA methodologies, QA principles, SOPs, and proficiency in English.
* Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Understanding of environmental methodologies and regulatory requirements.
* Experience with laboratory techniques, QA requirements, computers, spreadsheets, databases, and LIMS.
* Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving skills, and ability to influence change.
