Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer (Field / Machinery)
Salary: £35,000 + OTE £40,000-£45,000, overtime for overnight stays, on‑call bonus, company van, enhanced pension contribution, TOIL, and company benefits.
Location: Swindon – field based.
We are a well‑established, UK subsidiary of a leading global packaging machinery manufacturer, providing a range of automation and manufacturing machinery across sectors such as F&B, eCommerce and automotive. With continual growth, the company needs a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to cover a regional patch within approximately 2 hours of the base location, with occasional overnight stays and further travel.
This dynamic role involves conducting preventive maintenance (PPM) and repair on packaging machinery, offering specialist training on advanced software and machinery, and a phone‑based on‑call rota that offers additional earning opportunities.
The Role
* Undertake PPM, breakdown and other servicing work on packaging machinery.
* Cover sites within the regional patch, including regular overnight stays (average 40 per year).
* Receive training on specialist machinery and software.
* Use a company van, which may also be used for personal purposes.
* Participate in a phone‑based on‑call rota and earn additional bonus.
The Person
* Experienced Service or Multi‑skilled Maintenance Engineer.
* Mechanical or Electrical background.
* Willing and able to work a field‑based role, including overnight stays as required.
