Haggerty Jaques is keen to speak to lawyers with data protection experience about joining this highly respected global law firm’s specialist team in Leeds.
This fantastic role will involve working on a mix of data protection and connected public law matters.
The successful candidate will advise a range of major public sector, independent health, life sciences and healthtech clients on information law issues. This will include use of data by healthtech innovators/ researchers, data sharing and processing agreements, international data transfers, responding to data breaches and reviewing privacy policies. You would also be involved in the handling of subject access requests.
Alongside data protection work, the role will also cover advising on public law matters connected with the use of data, such as advising on statutory powers and duties and Freedom of Information Act requests.
You will be joining a team that works at the forefront of groundbreaking health and public sector matters for some major national clients. Much of the work for life sciences and healthtech clients will be at the cutting edge of medical technology.
The successful candidate is likely to have at least a couple of years’ relevant experience. Applications are also sought from lawyers operating at a more senior level.
