Manufacturing Logistics Operator ?? Great Yarmouth, UK | ?? Full-Time We are seeking a detail-driven Manufacturing Logistics Operator to support the smooth flow of materials, production, and finished goods within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is central to ensuring the right components arrive at the right time, production runs efficiently, and finished products are dispatched accurately and compliantly. Role Purpose To coordinate the movement of materials and components in line with production schedules, and manage the safe and compliant dispatch of finished goods. You will act as the key link between suppliers, the production floor, and customers. Key Responsibilities Goods In & Production Support Receive raw materials, components, or sub-assemblies and verify against Purchase Orders and Certificates of Conformity Carry out visual inspections for transit damage and escalate quality issues where required Kit and deliver components to production cells in line with Just-In-Time (JIT) principles to support uninterrupted manufacturing Shipping & Outbound Logistics Oversee packing of finished goods, ensuring appropriate protection such as heavy-duty crating or anti-static packaging Prepare domestic and international shipping documentation, including HS Codes, Certificates of Origin, and Dangerous Goods notes where applicable Update ERP systems to accurately reflect movement from Work in Progress (WIP) to Finished Goods Manufacturing & Systems Support Maintain accurate tracking of parts, batches, and materials within ERP systems Interpret basic technical drawings or pick lists to ensure correct component identification Support Lean manufacturing principles including 5S, Kanban, and JIT inventory practices About You You are organised, methodical, and thrive in a structured manufacturing environment. You understand the importance of accuracy, timing, and communication in keeping production and logistics aligned. Required Experience & Skills Minimum 2 years experience in a manufacturing or engineering warehouse environment Experience using ERP systems (manufacturing or warehouse modules essential) Ability to follow technical documentation such as pick sheets or basic engineering drawings Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Desirable Forklift Truck (FLT) Counterbalance or Reach licence NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supply Chain, Warehouse, or Logistics Familiarity with Lean principles (5S, Kanban, JIT) This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being at the centre of operational flow in a precision-driven manufacturing environment, where accuracy and timing directly impact production success.
