Job Overview
We are looking for experienced Clinical Support Workers. Hospital experience is desirable but not essential. A minimum of GCSE English and Maths grade C or 4, or Functional Skills for English/Maths, Care Certificate, and/or NVQ2 (two) in health and social care or an equivalent role is required.
Responsibilities
* Promote dignity, respect and privacy in the delivery of care duties.
* Undertake patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, pulse oximetry, height, weight, neurological assessment, ECG, respirations, urinalysis, blood glucose, and pregnancy testing, and escalation of concerns in line with policy.
* Recognition of deteriorating patients and adherence to escalation processes.
* Provide delegated clinical procedures such as insertion/removal of cannula, venepuncture, wound assessment, and simple dressings, as well as removal of urinary catheter.
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, using initiative and effective interpersonal and communication skills.
* Attend induction and mandatory Trust statutory training. Share knowledge and experience with the ward.
* Commit to high standards of patient care and personal professional development.
Qualifications
* Minimum GCSE English and Maths grade C or 4, or equivalent Functional Skills.
* Care Certificate and/or NVQ2 level 2 in health and social care or equivalent.
* Experience in a clinical support role; hospital experience is desirable.
