The Position
Job Title: Apprentice B2B Telemarketer
Apprenticeship Course: Level 4 Sales Executive
Apprenticeship Duration: 18 months + EPA
Location: Whiteley, Fareham
Working Hours: Full Time, Mon-Fri
Salary: £16,000 per annum
About the Role:
Our client is seeking a confident, articulate, and persistent Office-Based Telemarketer to generate new business opportunities through cold calling. Your primary responsibility will be to contact businesses, engage decision-makers, and book qualified appointments for our Business Development Managers (BDMs) to attend and discuss upgrading their current telecom systems.
This is a phone-heavy role where maximising talk time, delivering effective questioning, and meeting key performance indicators (KPIs) are essential to your success.
Your Responsibilities:
* Make a high volume of outbound cold calls to business contacts daily.
* Engage potential clients in professional and persuasive conversations.
* Identify decision-makers and qualify their interest and need for telecom system upgrades.
* Book appointments for field-based BDMs to follow up and close sales.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in Calendar to ensure optimised organisation.
* Meet and exceed daily/weekly/monthly KPIs including:
* Number of calls made
* Talk time
* Number of appointments booked
* Lead quality
* Develop a strong understanding of our telecoms products and services to effectively handle objections.
* Follow call scripts where appropriate, while adapting to natural conversations to maximise engagement.
* Collaborate with the wider sales team to ensure smooth handover of leads and appointments.
