About your team:

At British Gas, our mission is to sell it and mend it. We’ve powered the UK’s homes and businesses for over 200 years. We’re making the UK greener and more energy efficient, moving closer to Net Zero, using tech like thermostats, heat pumps, solar panels, and EV chargers to help customers reduce their carbon footprint.

Service Delivery Lead

Full-time or Part-time

About your team:

At British Gas Energy, our goal is to be Britain’s favourite energy supplier. We’re making the UK greener and more energy efficient, using innovative technology to help customers reduce their carbon footprint.

As our Service Delivery Lead, you’ll ensure IT services meet business expectations—translating technical solutions into meaningful outcomes while maintaining stability, reliability, and high performance. You’ll shape, monitor, and optimise service delivery, fostering a culture of collaboration, agility, and excellence.

Key Accountabilities:

* Lead end-to-end delivery of IT services aligned to SLAs and KPIs
* Monitor performance metrics and drive service improvements
* Act as the link between business, development, and IT operations to align goals
* Translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
* Collaborate with Product Owners on ITSM processes (incident, problem, change, release)
* Identify opportunities to improve service reliability, efficiency, and user experience
* Promote a culture of learning, innovation, and proactive problem-solving
* Stay current with industry trends and frameworks (Agile, ITIL)
* Lead service transition and technology integration into BAU
* Manage escalations and risks, coordinating resolution efforts
* Support flexible working and occasional on-call duties

Requirements:

* Experience translating complex business needs into technical outcomes
* Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps)
* Knowledge of ITIL processes and service management
* Proficiency with monitoring tools and performance data interpretation
* Understanding of IT systems and software development lifecycle
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
* Passion for user-centred solutions and quality services
* Ability to guide virtual teams and maintain standards
* Analytical skills for drawing insights from data
