We have two new roles for B2B Platform Architects to join our B2B Service & Platform Engineering team. These roles are to own one of the Platforms Business CPE or Layer 2 Networks.
You will be tasked;
1. To own various B2B platforms end-to-end, from design, to life cycle to vendor management.
2. Implement an engineering approach to deliver end-to-end integrated project solutions across multiple technical products.
3. Provide engineering direction and uniformity across projects including methodology, processes, standards, documentation etc.
This role would be well suited for a Network Architect, Principal Engineer or Solutions Architect with a Service Provider ISP background coupled with technical skills across Cisco, Nokia and Versa SD-WAN.
Key responsibilities & accountabilities
4. Assist the Manager with the day to day running of the B2B Platforms Architecture Team.
5. Provide good communication across projects, work streams and departments.
6. Management of a well-co-ordinated test process for new developments.
7. Provide projects Integration and Issues status reporting.
8. Own projects integration issues through to resolution.
9. Improve the quality of projects by consistently enforcing the B2B Platform Architecture & Engineering processes.
10. Design, maintain and provide governance of a concise set of processes and tools in liaison with other internal and external supplier groups and customers.
11. Develop, define, and analyse complex plans, schedules, reports and providing options and recommendations as

The must haves
12. Proven Leadership experience
13. Cisco CCIE-SP / Nokia SRA or equivalent commercial experience
14. Strong knowledge with Versa SDWAN hardware/software
15. Demonstrable employment in an engineering/operational/integration or test management role with either a Service Provider, Telecoms Equipment Supplier/Vendor or in a Technology Consultancy.
16. A strong technical knowledge of project and operational requirements within a ISP service provider environment.
17. A demonstrable knowledge of IP Networking, physical networks and their topologies and strong understanding in overlay services.
The other stuff we are looking for
18. Strong knowledge with Cisco Meraki hardware/software.
19. Strong knowledge in XGS PON and DOCSIS.
20. Skilled at managing relationships with others through building rapport and influence.
21. Ability to prepare and present formal presentations to Senior Management on technical solutions or issues.
22. Good knowledge in Agile working.
