Senior Event Sales Manager

Location: Sussex (Hybrid Working)

Salary: up to £60k DOE + OTE


Our client is a progressive, award winning, independent media and events business operating within the B2B space. With a strong reputation for delivering high quality insight and impactful industry events.


The business offers a collaborative, modern working environment. Its portfolio includes digital and in person conferences, exhibitions, awards, and bespoke events, alongside data driven marketing and publishing solutions.


The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and commercially driven Event Sales Manager to join a growing events team.

Working closely with senior leadership, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue across a portfolio of established and international events, with a particular focus on selling exhibition space and high value sponsorship packages.

This role requires a proactive, consultative sales professional who thrives on winning new business, building relationships, and expanding into international markets.



Key Responsibilities

* Drive revenue through the sale of exhibition stands and sponsorship packages
* Develop new business opportunities, particularly within international markets
* Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospects and opportunities
* Maintain and grow relationships with key accounts
* Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, content, and operations
* Attend industry events and trade shows, including international travel
* Deliver accurate sales forecasting and pipeline management via CRM systems
* Identify cross-selling opportunities across wider business offerings



Candidate Requirements

* Minimum 3 years’ experience in B2B sales, ideally within events or media
* Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
* Strong new business development skills
* Experience selling high-value, consultative solutions
* Confident in both telephone and face-to-face sales environments
* Proactive approach to lead generation and outreach
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Positive, driven, and resilient attitude
