Lecturer in Biblical and Early Christian Studies
Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer in Biblical and Early Christian Studies (teaching and research), starting from 1 September 2025.
You will contribute to the delivery of the Religions, Theology and Ethics programme, focusing on research and teaching in Bible and Early Christianity. Candidates must hold a PhD in a relevant field, demonstrate university-level teaching experience, and have the ability to teach one or both biblical languages. A strong publication record and potential for grant acquisition are essential. Desirable qualities include expertise that enhances research and resource accessibility at the John Rylands Research Institute and Library, along with excellent interpersonal skills for engaging students.
