Were currently recruiting on behalf of a growing IT provider looking to add a First Line IT Support Engineer to their team. This role is ideal for someone with around 1 year of IT support or helpdesk experience whos looking to build their technical skills in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. ?? The Role As a First Line Support Engineer, youll be the first point of contact for customers, providing technical assistance and ensuring issues are resolved efficiently. Key responsibilities include: Handling incoming support requests via phone, email, and ticketing systems Troubleshooting basic IT issues (hardware, software, and user access) Supporting users with Microsoft applications and general IT queries Logging, updating, and managing support tickets Escalating more complex issues to 2nd/3rd line support Delivering excellent customer service at all times ? What Were Looking For Around 1 year of experience in an IT support/helpdesk role Strong communication skills confident speaking with users at all levels Customer-focused mindset with a professional and friendly approach Basic troubleshooting skills and logical problem-solving ability Ability to manage multiple tickets and prioritise workload Good organisational and time management skills A proactive attitude and willingness to learn Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) ? Desirable Skills (Not Essential) Experience with Microsoft 365 (password resets, user admin, basic support) Basic understanding of networking (Wi-Fi, IP addresses, routers) Familiarity with Active Directory or user account management Experience using ticketing systems or remote support tools Any IT certifications (e.g. CompTIA A, Microsoft Fundamentals) ??
